The National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association’s Personal Fitness Trainer Certification Receives NCCA Accreditation
NESTA earns national accreditation through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. March 25, 2008— As NESTA continues to grow, NCCA accreditation earns it a new place within the health and fitness industry.
Among NESTA’s most recent accomplishments was their partnership with Polar to create the PFT 2.0 certification program. This personal fitness trainer certification program is the first of its kind, integrating Polar’s heart rate monitor technology into the certification program. Trainers are now able to accurately track the progress of their clients in an objective, quantitative manner. NESTA and Polar recently unveiled the PFT 2.0 to over 300 presentation attendees at the annual IHRSA convention in San Diego, CA on March 6. This innovation was met with a tremendously enthusiastic response by both personal trainers and club owners.
“Earning the NCCA accreditation shows NESTA’s commitment to achieving the highest standards by which personal trainer certification is measured,” explains Dave Goldstein, VP Business Development.
Mark Baines, Director of Education states, “This prestigious national accreditation will assist in helping NESTA trainers find great personal training jobs and ensure the validity and professional level of NESTA PFT certification.”
By becoming accredited by the NCCA, NESTA has fully met the high quality standards for which personal trainer certification programs must qualify to earn national accreditation.
